We are food-focused nonprofit with the goal of giving disenfranchised members of our community access to secure and stable employment in the food service industry through culinary arts training and a range of wraparound supports.

Workforce Development

Our workforce development program is designed to help people who have been out of the workforce find and maintain stable, higher than entry-level positions in the food service industry.

Our students work and train alongside professional chefs producing nutritious, from-scratch bulk meals each day in our kitchen.

Culinary Job Training

We provide a 12-week vocational training in the culinary arts, which includes classroom instruction, applied training, supportive services, and job placement to individuals with barriers to employment. Our students are extensively trained in food handling, safety and sanitation and both high volume and a la carte production. Students graduate with ServSafe Managers certification and the ability to move into a range of positions in both high volume and restaurant kitchens.

Transitional Job Opportunities

We provide transitional job opportunities to unemployed, currently or formerly incarcerated individuals with at least one year of demonstrated experience working in a kitchen, or who are interested in seeking employment in shipping/warehouse environments.. The program is intended to provide an employer reference, experience for their resumes, a source of income, and the opportunity to work with our employment specialist to secure employment elsewhere in the industry.

Apprenticeship Training

We are also able to partner with select employers to place graduates into area restaurants or commercial kitchens for additional training and can offset a portion of wages during the training period.

Food Education

We engage youth and families from the schools where we provide meal services through cooking clubs and other in-school and after school activities. We also offer demos and cooking education in the community as part of our recruitment efforts.
